OSCN Trainer for Trainer

OSCN and Holistic Safeguarding have developed this Trainer-for-Trainer course to help the OSCAR sector receive tailored safeguarding and child protection training from OSCAR Staff in a manner that allows the OSCAR sector to become more self-sustainable in providing child protection training.

OSCN's Trainer for Trainer course builds on participant's prior Safeguarding and Child Protection for Aotearoa eLearning knowledge by offering this Trainer for Trainer component as a blended learning programme, which collectively consists of the following 3 delivery methods:

This eLearning course, which guides participants through how to facilitate adult learning qualitatively.

An Exclusive OSCN Trainer for Trainer Online Class, which supports participants in becoming familiar with the OSCAR Safeguarding and Child Protection Training Material.

Attending an In-person Trainer for Trainer Event, where participants observe an OSCAR Safeguarding and CHild Protection Course and plan their upcoming course facilitation.

The OSCN Trainer for Training eLearning provides OSCN Trainer for Trainer participants with access to 2 eLearning programmes:

Their Safeguarding and Child Protection for Aotearoa eLearning course. This is a pre-learning requisite, as it ensures consistency in the training pool's knowledge and skills in identifying and responding to child safety concerns.

Their Trainer for Trainer eLearning course. This course starts the Trainer for Trainer learning programme by giving participants an overview of best practices in facilitating adult learning.
